How to prepare
Video visits are currently offered in the following states: CA, TX, FL, NY, WA, VA, PA, NC, CO, MA, AZ, MI, MD, OR, OH, MN, KY, CT, WI, NV, OK, IA, ME, RI, MT, IL, NE, WY, NJ, LA, TN, SC, GA , UT, AK, ID, NH, SD, and ND.
Please note that for current members, video visit appointments will be subject to your provider’s availability. Some providers do not service video.
When you schedule, you’ll receive an email confirmation with the date & time of your appointment. Separately, you will receive a calendar invite with the details. When it’s time for your appointment, open the invite or one of our reminder emails to pull up the link to your video visit. Your provider will be waiting! We recommend you come prepared with some topics you’d like to discuss to make the most of your time.
If you would like to discuss any lab results, please make sure to upload them in advance of your visit time at https://care.evernow.com/account/lab_results
Additionally, you should not be driving during the time of your video visit. You will also need to reschedule your appointment if you are in a different state than the one you signed up in.
The link to your video visit will be sent to you via email 24 hours before your appointment time.
What to expect
Anything you want! We recommend starting with your main concerns and overall goals for seeking care. Then addressing any medical history and background can also play into your ongoing care.
We also recommend asking about menopause generally, like how the symptoms you’re experiencing are related to menopause, ways to manage them, and how they can impact your long-term health.
Here are some additional common questions to kick-start your conversation:
- Are my symptoms normal and how long will they last?
- What types of hormone therapy do you prescribe and which are right for me?
- Are there any natural alternatives to hormone therapy?
- What lifestyle changes or other solutions can you recommend to manage my symptoms?
Your video visit will be with your dedicated menopause specialist, who will be with you throughout your care at Evernow.
Most members schedule a video visit once a month. However, you can schedule a follow-up video visit at any time. During the visit, you can discuss ongoing questions about your care, raise new or persistent symptoms, share any side effects with medication, or discuss any new goals you want to address.
During your video visit, you will discuss your goals for care concerns you may have and have your questions about care answered. In most cases, members leave their first video visit with a care plan they have co-developed with their provider.
Video visits are 20 minutes long. If you need more time, we recommend scheduling an additional video visit. At this time, we cannot support longer appointment times.
If you are experiencing technical issues, please reach out to support@evernow.com immediately.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
You will not be charged until the time of your visit. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so more than 24 hours in advance of your original visit. Reschedules or cancellations within 24 hours of a visit or no-shows will result in a total fee of $50.
You can cancel your visit via the link in your video visit confirmation email or within account settings on your Evernow dashboard. You can select “edit” to cancel your appointment. If you cancel within 24 hours of a visit, you will be charged a $50 late fee.
You can reschedule your visit via the link in your video visit confirmation email or within account settings on your Evernow dashboard. You can select “edit” to reschedule your appointment. If you reschedule within 24 hours of a visit, you will be charged a $50 late fee.
If you have missed your video visit, you will be charged a no-show fee of $50. You can schedule another video visit within your Evernow dashboard.
Pricing & Insurance
Today, we offer insurance coverage through several health plans in most states. Please check our insurance eligibility tool here if you want to see if your plan is covered today for use with a video visit. If your plan is not yet eligible, the out-of-pocket cost for a video visit is $50. Pease check back every month, as we are rapidly expanding our coverage.
If you choose to pay through your insurance plan, just like going to any doctor, your health insurance coverage determines the amount you owe. For most, the price is often your visit copay amount. If you want to learn more or better understand your coverage, please contact your insurance provider directly.
If you choose our self pay option, we currently offer $50/visit.
Regardless of whether you choose self pay or insurance, if you cancel a video visit in less than 24 hours of your scheduled visit time (or do not attend your visit), you will be charged a $50 fee.
Before you book a video visit, Evernow is able to offer you a price estimate based on the insurance plan details you provide. After your visit is complete, your insurance provider will determine the exact amount that you owe for the video visit. If your initial price estimate was different than the final owed amount, Evernow will follow the guidance of your insurance provider and charge or refund you appropriately. If you want to learn more or better understand your coverage, please contact your insurance provider directly.
Everyone’s healthcare journey is different. Keeping video visits and medications separate from your membership fee allows us to offer you competitive prices for only the services you need, while allowing you to pay with your insurance as much as possible.
At Evernow, beyond video visits, most insurance plans may pay for medications from your local pharmacy. Your HSA/FSA may also pay for your membership fee.
No, absolutely not. You will receive the same high quality care from our Evernow team regardless of whether you choose to self pay or pay through your insurance.
